Maddie Biertempfel is a senior double majoring in broadcast journalism and political science at Penn State. She currently is news director for CommRadio and a teaching assistant for both COMM165 and a first-year seminar. Previously, she interned at WPSU, where her radio stories placed 7th in the national Hearst competition for radio news and features. She’s also reported for the Centre County Report, interned at C-SPAN and Fox News, served as executive producer of Penn State Network News, and has written articles for the Centre Daily Times and Daily Collegian.
