He is a sports director with CommRadio in addition to being a play-by-play broadcaster. Additionally, David served as the voice of the Penn State women’s volleyball team for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, covering the radio broadcasts for all home and away matches. Hailing from Long Island, Christopher has experience in public address announcing alongside broadcasting football, volleyball, hockey, baseball, and softball. Chris has been featured on State College Saturdays, CommRadio’s Saturday college football pregame show, Daylate Tailgate, CommRadio’s Sunday college football recap show, and on a number of podcasts. Chris also writes a number of articles during football and hockey season and is an insider for the men’s hockey team. Chris is also a co-host on Hockey Night in State College. Chris is interested in either play-by-play or working in the sports media department for a college or professional sports team alongside being a sports radio personality. Preston Shoemaker is a junior from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania and is majoring in broadcast journalism. He is a director, play-by-play broadcaster and writer for the CommRadio sports department. He is also an anchor and reporter for the Centre County Report. He has experience covering high school basketball and has interned with the Altoona Curve. Caitlyn Frolo is a member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism at Penn State. Caitlyn has had extensive multimedia experience through internships with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Soccer Club, Penn State Athletics in video production (where she now works part time) and through a gig assisting ESPN/ABC with their broadcasts from Beaver Stadium during football season. Caitlyn is the president of the College of Communications Student Council, a news reporter for The Daily Collegian and a blog writer for the Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM). Caitlyn also participates in THON as a communications committee member, as well as being an active member in Dean Marie Hardin’s Student Leadership Cabinet. Emilie has gained experience through an internship with the station B94.5 in the summer of 2019. In that position, she collected daily content for the morning show, managed all the social media accounts, and learned editing, copy writing, voice over and audio production. She had accepted a special events internship for the summer of 2020 with The Ronald McDonald House, but was not able to complete it due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Emilie is now looking forward to starting Centre County Report and being able give herself a new challenge.

Sommer Thomas is a senior broadcast journalism major and digital media trends and analytics minor from Englewood, New Jersey. She is a reporter and sports anchor for Centre County Report and an executive producer for Penn State Sports Night. She was also a writer and talk show analyst for CommRadio. Sommer also works for Penn State Athletics as the primary contact for the women’s swimming & diving team, a marketing intern, and a student reporter. She is an avid New York sports fan, especially the New York Jets.
