When Michelle is not executive producing The Centre County Report, she directs the News Division for Penn State’s ComRadio. She has completed internships with WPVI-TV 6abc in Philadelphia in the Production Department, WBHV-FM in State College as a part of B94.5’s Morning Zoo Crew, and Penn State Athletics as an Assistant Producer. She hopes to work as a news reporter and/or producer following graduation. Shannon Ryan
Senior / Broadcast Journalism and Political Science
Shannon Ryan is a mutimedia journalist and passionate storyteller who plans to pursue a career in television news. She is graduating in December, a semester early. As a student reporter she traveled to Greece to cover the refugee crisis and to Brazil to cover the 2016 Paralympic Games.
Shannon has interned for the New York State Broadcasters Association, NBC WNYT-NewsChannel 13 in Albany, N.Y., ESPNU as a campus correspondent, and as a sideline reporter for the Big Ten Network StudentU’s; which stream live on BTN2go.com and air on the Big Ten Network. She also works for Penn State Athletics, in production and as a reporter. She has also freelanced for CBS This Morning. This summer she will be the daytime news intern for FOX29 Philadelphia.

Ryan Belz
Senior / Broadcast Journalism
I am currently a senior at The Pennsylvania State University pursuing a bachelors degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in geography. I am also pursuing certification in weather forecasting. I am currently a Reporter for the Centre County Report, a Fill-in Meteorologist for WENY News and a Shift Manager for the Campus Weather Service. I was able to gain valuable knowledge and experience during my internship and work at WENY News.

ElizabethMalara
Senior / Broadcast Journalism
Liz is an anchor, reporter and producer for the Centre County Report.
When not reporting for CCR, she is leading the Student Programming Association as its Executive Director, working with Penn State Football, interning for Oprah Magazine, or singing with her a cappella group, Shades of Blue around campus or at THON.

Kaitlyn Cannon
Senior / Telecommunications
Kaitlyn is currently a production intern for C-NET, Centre County’s Government and Education Access Network, and has been since the Fall of 2015. In the summer of 2015, Kaitlyn was an editing intern with Anatomy Media in New York, NY. During her time at Penn State, Kaitlyn has served on the production crew and as camera operator for two separate live webcasts; one being the Homecoming Parade webcast in September of 2014 and the other being the live webcast of Penn State School of Theatre’s recent production of Julius Caesar. When she graduates, Kaitlyn wants to pursue a career in Television News.
