A Long Island native, John McHugh has known that he wanted to pursue sports broadcasting from a young age. Since then he has seized every opportunity he can, coming to Penn State and doing extensive work with ComRadio and other campus media organizations.

In addition to play-by-play, beat writing, and podcasting at ComRadio, John is currently the host of The Fast Lane, Penn State’s only NASCAR talk show, and ComRadio Country Countdown.

In the professional world, John has interned in the Sports Department and News 12 Long Island, in the news department at Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia in the summer of 2016. He has also written for the Automobile Association of America (AAA) Northeast’s website and Car and Travel magazine for the past three summers.

Candace McPhillips is a junior from Collegeville, PA, majoring in broadcast journalism and English with minors in French and business. She is an anchor for ComRadio News. Outside of ComRadio, Candace is the News Producer for PSN News, an editor for the Daily Collegian, and Secretary of Tapestry Dance Company. She is also a member of the College of Communications Student Council and the ballet club Volé. Candace hopes to pursue a career as a news anchor or reporter. Throughout his entire life, Bryce developed a passion for sports journalsim. After graduating from Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, New York, he went on to attend Penn State University to pursue a degree in Broadcasting Journalism.

Bryce is a senior at the Pennsylvania State University from Reading, Pennsylvania who now resides in Albany, New York.  He is in the pursuit of a major in Broadcasting Journalism with a minor in History. Bryce is interested in pursuing a career in sports journalism such as a talk-show host, analyst, or a play-by-play broadcaster.
 
Bryce is a member of Centre County Report, which is fully broadcasted by students and is the capstone broadcast journalism course in the College of Communications at Penn State. The award-winning weekly program serves a dual purpose—as a source of news and information for Centre County residents and as a real-time laboratory for Penn State students.

Bryce has interned at ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team in Albany, New York. He assisted in the live production of the local daily talk show by working in the control room and gathering sound bites from various local sports teams such as the New York Yankees and New York Jets. He has on-air experience from the internship as well.

In addition, Bryce has also interned at FOX 23 News in Albany, New York in the Sports Department. Along with the local on-air anchor, he was tasked with gathering footage of local sports and editing the footage in preparation for the evening news.

Sports has always been a passion for Bryce and he enjoys the world of sports in every capacity. His ultimate goal is to become an on-air sports talk show anchor or a sports analyst, but would love to work in sports in any way.

She has a interest in Producing and Directing after graduating. In hopes to work for any companies like VH1, BET, ABC, ESPN, or Fox.

Morgan is currently an on-air sports and news anchor for Penn State’s Centre County Report, an Emmy award-winning, student-run newscast. She is also a field reporter and producer for their BIG10 Football coverage and other sports and community-based features. She will be an Executive Producer for Centre County Report in 2017. Previously, Morgan interned with NASCAR Productions at their headquarters in Charlotte, NC, where she was part of the in-house production team, which included producing segments of NASCAR University. During her time in Charlotte, she also worked at FOX Sports 1 for the production of Race Hub and RaceDay and was a part of the the live broadcast team for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Her positive NASCAR experience was built on her previous internship with DragonSpeed in the Pirelli World Challenge Series where she worked as the team’s Media and Public Relations Liaison. In addition to her work with Centre County Report, Morgan is the Production Director for Penn State’s ComRadio and serves on the Lion Ambassadors Executive Board as Director of Communications. Proficient both in front of and behind the camera, she is focused on a career in sports broadcast television.
