UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Berkey Creamery and Penn State Bakery have teamed up to create their own cart stand in the HUB-Robeson Center called Cow & Cookie. The pair have partnered in the past and they thought it was time to create a mini business.

The duo combined their best items to sell desserts to the Penn State community. People can order ice cream made by Berkey Creamery with Penn State Bakery cookies, cheesecake, brownies, and other treats in the ice cream.

Cow & Cookie has been open near Sbarro in the HUB for a couple of weeks. What do students think about this addition? CommRadio spoke with Lara Judkowski, a third-year majoring in broadcast journalism, about her opinions of the new business.

“It’s a little more hidden than I expected,” Judkowski said. “I don’t know if it’s going to do that well, I guess we will find out. So far, it seems kind of popular and people like it.”

Judkowski recommends others go and try it for themselves. Her go-to order is the brookie. “It’s half cookie, half brownie. It’s like a (McDonalds) McFlurry or a milkshake,” Judkowski said.

As of now, an order can be made through the Penn State Eats folder in the Penn State Go app. To order, click on dining and scroll to Cow & Cookie. There, people can order any quake, such as blueberry, brookie, or sugar cookie. They offer 11 different kinds.

They’re open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
