Liz is an anchor, reporter and producer for the Centre County Report.

When not reporting for CCR, she is leading the Student Programming Association as its Executive Director, working with Penn State Football, interning for Oprah Magazine, or singing with her a cappella group, Shades of Blue around campus or at THON.

Laura Barbosa

Senior / Broadcast Journalism

Laura is currently a Senior at the Pennsylvania State University, where she is pursuing her majors in Broadcast Journalism and International Studies. Aside from the Journalism, Laura is highly passionate about the entertainment and fashion industries. 

Along her journalism journey, Laura has started from writing in school newspapers, to full time on-air anchoring and even to Corporate Public Relations with NBC News. 

Her strong belief in the importance of story telling has encouraged her to look for positions that allow her to be productive and creative, as well as execute any task while also having fun!

Laura Barbosa has adapted the strength to rise to any occasion, the capacity to pursue a career path, and a stronger commitment to accomplish personal and professional goals.
