Senior / Broadcast Journalism
Ashley is currently a senior at Penn State University studying Broadcast Journalism. She is graduating in May, 2013 with an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism, a minor in Kinesiology, and a certification from the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. For the Centre County Report, she is a news and sports anchor, as well as a reporter. Her love of the Communications field has led her in many directions while in school. She has interned at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh with the sports department, 93.7 The Fan Sports Radio Station, and Eat’n Park in the Marketing Department. These internships have advanced her knowledge and allowed her to gain real world experience in addition to her college studies. Ashley’s passion for sports has led her to pursue a full-time position in the Sports Journalism or Sports Marketing field and she is always eager to learn new things about these industries. As her passion for sports continues to grow, she hope to achieve her goal of working in a sports industry in the future.
