Brittany Corl is a senior at the Pennsylvania State University, graduating in December 2012. She is majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in sociology. Brittany has interned with Fox News Channel since May 2011, including representing Penn State for Fox News Channel University. She helped cover the Jerry Sandusky child-sex abuse scandal for both the Centre County Report and Fox News Channel throughout the scandal. Brittany loves producing news and hopes to one day produce for a national news company.

Her love of videography and multimedia compel her to exercise these skill sets in as many areas as possible. Dan Smith is the Executive Editor of ComRadio. He is also a producer for the Centre County Report. Dan is from West Chester, PA. He has broadcasted and written about many Penn State sports for ComRadio, including football, basketball, baseball, volleyball and softball. He has interned at 97.5 FM The Fanatic in Philadelphia.

Cat is currently in her senior year at Penn State with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science.  She is also a member of Penn State’s A Capella group, “Shades of Blue.”

In the Summer of 2012, Cat had the opportunity to intern with KDKA-TV News in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  There, she worked for KDKA’s morning news program, “Pittsburgh Today Live.” She has recently made numerous live appearances on CNN HLN (“Dr. Drew), TruTV’s In Session, and CNN News Now to speak on behalf of Penn State University about the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal (November 2011-July 2012).

Her career goal is to become a news reporter/anchor at the national level.

Growing up along the water’s edge just south of Boston, Michael has long been fascinated by the weather, particularly the Nor’Easters that regularly batter the New England coast. Michael began documenting daily weather observations in middle school, and by high school had developed his own weather website with forecasts for his hometown.

Since coming to Penn State, Michael has become active in the Department of Meteorology. He served as the Head of Communications for the Campus Weather Service, and was the treasurer of the local branch of the American Meteorology Society for two years. Michael currently serves as a student representative on the National Weather Association’s Membership & Marketing committee.

Graduating in December 2012, Michael hopes to become a professional broadcast meteorologist. He interned for two years at WCVB-TV in Boston, and regularly provides forecasts for Central Pennsylvania on both C-Net and the Centre County Report which airs on WPSU-TV.
