2022 Penn State in the NFL: Week 7

The NFL season rages on, and former Nittany Lions continue to make a name for themselves.

Here’s a look at some of the top performers from this weekend.

Jaquan Brisker, CHI, S

Opening up on the defensive side, Brisker made some noise on the Monday Night spotlight. Brisker went up and came down with a jaw-dropping interception during the Bears' 33-14 rout of the Patriots.

That was the first interception of Brisker’s career in a game where he also picked up seven total tackles.

Pat Freiermuth, PIT, TE

The Steelers' offense may have been stagnant on Sunday Night Football, but Freiermuth wasn’t part of the problem.

Freiermuth led the team in both receptions and yards with eight and 75, respectively.

In a battle of the Penn State tight ends between him and Mike Gesicki, Freiermuth won the battle but lost the war as the Dolphins won the game over the Steelers.

Saquon Barkley, NYG, RB

The Giants just keep finding ways to win, and Barkley has been leading the charge. Although he didn’t find the endzone last week, Barkley still finished with 110 rushing yards and 25 receiving yards.

Barkley helped lead the Giants to a close win over the Jaguars as his team now has a 6-1 record.

Chris Godwin, TB, WR

Hard to find positives about an offense that only scored three points last week, but Godwin still found ways to ball out.

Godwin finished with seven receptions for 43 yards in the Buccaneers' loss. Those seven receptions tied a season-high for him, which he also did in the Buccaneers’ loss against the Chiefs.

Micah Parsons, DAL, LB

Let’s end things on the defensive side.

Parsons has continued to shine as one of the top defensive players in the league and did so again in a dominant win against the Detroit Lions.

The linebacker had five tackles with a sack and forced fumble mixed in. Parsons now has seven sacks on the year, which leads the league.
