2022 Penn State in the NFL: Week 8

Another productive week for former Nittany Lions is in the books so let’s get straight into it.

Micah Parsons, LB, DAL

The Cowboys linebacker found a way to steal the spotlight in a blowout win over the Chicago Bears.

Parsons found the endzone off a fumble recovery during the third quarter in a 49-29 victory.

Along with the touchdown, Parsons also came away with four tackles in the win to help the Cowboys improve to 6-2 on the season.

Miles Sanders, RB, PHI

While the Philadelphia Phillies continue to make waves, the Eagles have done the same, with Sanders being a big catalyst.

Sanders found the endzone once more in the fourth quarter, which proved to be a nice break from the A.J. Brown scores.

The Eagles remained undefeated and came away with a 35-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mike Gesicki, TE, MIA

He may not be griddying following his endzone trips, but Gesicki still found his way there once more last weekend.

Gesicki caught three passes for 38 yards with that aforementioned touchdown reception. The Dolphins won in comeback fashion against the Detroit Lions.

Jaquan Brisker, S, CHI

Parsons wasn’t the only former Penn Stater to shine on the defensive end in the Bears-Cowboys game. Brisker picked up his third career sack in the loss and came away with nine tackles.

With the Bears trading away several key pieces on the defensive side of the ball, Brisker could be tasked with a much bigger role for the remainder of the season.

Saquon Barkley, RB, NYG

It was a quieter week for the superstar running back, but that could also be said for the team. Barkley still scored while accounting for 53 rushing yards in the contest.

That didn’t help the Giants come away with a win as they fell 27-13 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Yetur Gross-Matos, DE, CAR

Here’s a new addition to the list.

Gross-Matos has gradually seen his playing time increase with the Panthers continuing to rebuild and turned that into arguably his best game of the season.

In the Panthers' overtime loss, Gross-Matos picked up a season-high six tackles to go along with a half sack which was his first in that category.
