Bob Long has had various experiences in the world of sports.  Bob is a Soccer Producer and a Lacrosse Producer for ComRadio, in addition to his talk radio show, “Drop the Gloves.”  In addition, Bob has used his entrepreneurial spirit to embark upon another challenge, to create his own business based upon his love of sports.  Bob Long Sports, a sports website featuring the latest news on Penn State sports as well as all the hottest sports stories, was created in 2009 and is still running as a concurrent endeavor for Bob.

Bryan McSorley is a senior majoring in broadcast journalism from Conway, Pennsylvania.  He has gained valuable experience in the broadcast field through his work with ComRadio, Centre County Report and his internship with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. As a member of ComRadio, McSorley has worked as play-by-play broadcaster, color analyst and board operator for many NCAA sports. He also co-host ComRadio’s Inside the NFL radio show. McSorley was the technical director for the Centre County Report starting in the spring of 2013 and has continued work with them this semester. In the future, McSorley dreams of working for a major sports production company either behind the scenes or in front of the camera.

Alex Gilliland is a Senior majoring in Broadcast Journalism from York, Pennsylvania. Alex is enrolled in Penn State’s Schreyer Honors College and plans to graduate in May of 2014.


Alex is currently working for CBS Sports in New York City as a Sports Production intern.


Alex aspires to become a sports anchor and a play-by-play broadcaster for a major sports network. He has been reporting and anchoring since high school and is a member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. In addition to working as a Sports Director for ComRadio, Alex works for the Centre Country Report and is currently employed by the Video Department of Penn State Athletics as a Production Assistant, Play-by-Play Broadcaster and Reporter.


Alex also broadcasts Penn State Women’s Soccer for Big Ten StudentU and football and basketball games for C-NET in State College.


In addition to media work at Penn State, Alex has completed multiple internships in the broadcast field over the summer semesters. Alex has worked for CBS Sports as a Sports Production intern in New York City, Dial Global Sports/Westwood One Radio in New York City, the National Football Foundation in New York City, FOX 43 Sports in York, PA and Sports Radio 1350 WOYK in York, PA.
