College Basketball Game Picks: November 16

One week into the season and we have seen a lot of upsets already. Let’s keep things rolling for the second edition of CommRadio’s college basketball game picks.

Overall record: 3-2
Seton Hall at No. 4 Michigan (-8.5), 9 p.m. FS1
Big East teams are currently 2-0 against Big Ten teams in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. Why not make it 3-0?
Seton Hall comes into this game with a dominating 36-point win over Yale. Transfers Alexis Yetna and Kadary Richmond have been providing valuable minutes for the Pirates.
Jared Rhoden is healthy and back in the rotation after dealing with an injury.
Michigan gets its first test of the season against a veteran Seton Hall team with a lot of depth. Big man Ike Obiagu will wall up and stop Hunter Dickinson in the paint.
Prediction: Seton Hall +8.5
BYU at No. 12 Oregon (-4), 10 p.m. on ESPN
Yes, UCLA beat No. 4 Villanova this past Friday, but Oregon could easily win the PAC-12 this year.
They are extremely talented and covered an easy 6 point spread against a good SMU team. Four of their five starters are averaging double digits to start the season.
BYU is a good team with a big win over San Diego State in their last game, but they don’t have the firepower that the Ducks have this season.
Prediction: Oregon +4
Creighton at Nebraska (-2.5), 7 p.m. on FS1
The battle of Nebraska. Another matchup as a part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games.
Both teams were projected towards the bottom of their respective conferences, but this is the best team Fred Hoiberg has had in his three years at Nebraska.
Creighton on the other hand does not return a single starter from last season. The Blue Jays are a young team who have struggled in their first two games of the season.
Cornhuskers get the win at home with brothers Trey and Bryce McGowens continuing their prolific scoring.
Prediction: Nebraska -2.5
Yale (-4) at Sienna, 7 p.m. on ESPN3
Yale just got embarrassed by Seton Hall. This is a huge bounce-back game for them.
There is no way they shoot 13% from the three again in this game. Sienna on the other hand lost by 28 to Saint Bonaventure and lost by 20 to Delaware.
The Saints are struggling to find their offensive identity with the loss of Jalen Pickett and Manny Camper.
They don’t seem like the same MAAC regular-season champions from last year.
Prediction: Yale -4
Saint Louis at Memphis (-12), 8 p.m. on ESPN+
Emoni Bates and Jalen Duren are NBA-caliber players that will help Memphis become a top team in the nation this year.
Despite their talent, Saint Louis is playing great basketball winning their first three games of the season in blowout fashion.
The Billikens are currently ranked third in the nation in scoring offense putting up 103 points per game.
They are well-coached and will throw a lot of changing defenses against Memphis to cause confusion.
The spread is too big for one of the top teams in the Atlantic team this season.
Prediction: Saint Louis +12
