NFL Betting: Week 3

Story posted September 24, 2021 in CommRadio, Sports by Jeremy Goldman

This NFL season so far has been full of many thrilling last minute comebacks. That being said, unpredictable endings make for a spectacular winning bet.

The goal is to go 5-0 with picks for week 3 of the NFL season.

Here are five games on this week’s slate highlighted, predicting both the winner and the spread.

Browns vs. Bears

The odds for the game currently sit at Cleveland -7 & Chicago +7

The Cleveland Browns are a very dangerous team that are favorites to win the AFC North division. They average over 400 yards a game as well. Expect the Browns defense to come up very big against the rookie Justin Fields who’s xmaking his first career start in Cleveland.

Plus, the Browns will be getting a major boost on offense by veteran receiver Odell Beckham Jr. starting in his first game since October 25, 2020.

The pick: Browns -7

Cardinals vs. Jacksonville

The line for this matchup is Jacksonville +7.5 & Arizona -7.5

This matchup could be very beneficial for Kyler Murray fantasy owners. Even though this game is a home matchup for the Jaguars, Kyler Murray has the opportunity to put up season highs against Jacksonville’s below-average defense.

Arizona limited the Titans powerhouse of an offense to only 13 points, a similar result could be coming for the Jaguars offense Sunday.

The pick: Cardinals -7.5

Ravens vs. Lions

The line for the game is Lions +8.5 & Ravens -8.5

The Detroit Lions are currently on a 6 game losing streak. They face a very tough test at home against Baltimore. The Ravens have the elusive Lamar Jackson who has the third most rushing yards in the entire NFL as of Week 3.

The Ravens also have Marquise Brown, who is coming off one of the best games of his career getting to go against a depleted Lions secondary.

The pick: Ravens -8.5

Dolphins vs. Raiders

The spread for this matchup is Dolphins +4 and Raiders -4

Miami is coming off a devastating 35-0 blowout loss to the Bills. Plus, the Dolphins lost starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa the week before to an unfortunate rib injury. Derek Carr is currently leading the NFL in passing yards. The Raiders will be at home against a depleted Dolphins squad as they are looking to stay undefeated.

Las Vegas should also be getting star running back Josh Jacobs in the next few weeks back from a toe injury to help propel their momentum even more.

The pick: Raiders -4

Steelers vs. Bengals

The current line for this game is Bengals +3 and Steelers -3

The frustrated Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a 26-17 home loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in a game they were heavily favored to win.

The vet Ben Roethlisberger has a career 24-8 record against Cincinnati. Burrow’s Bengals are coming off a tough loss to Chicago and face an even harder test on the road against division rival Pittsburgh.

Finally, Diontae Johnson racked up a 100 yard performance against the Raiders intimidating defense and will aim to top it against the rival Bengals.

The pick: Steelers -3
