NFL Game Picks: Week 6

Story posted October 16, 2021 in CommRadio, Sports by Chris Clark

Week 5 was a roller coaster of emotions for both players and fans as we saw several offense heavy matchups and a plethora of comeback wins that kept the week interesting. As we further approach into the middle weeks, we gain better insight as to who is legit and who are the frauds.

In what should be another action-packed slate of games for Week 6, let’s get into our game picks.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-1) @ Philadelphia Eagles (2-3)

After an easy win in Tampa against the struggling Dolphins, the Buccaneers go to Philadelphia for a tougher challenge while still managing to come out with a closer win.

Prediction: Buccaneers 40, Eagles 35

Miami Dolphins (1-4) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5)

The Jaguars might just get it done at home against a nothing more than terrible Dolphins squad, but it’s just not their time just yet. Dolphins take it in an ugly one.

Prediction: Dolphins 23, Jaguars 20

Minnesota Vikings (2-3) @ Carolina Panthers (3-2)

The Panthers aren’t a good enough football team to drop a game like this at home. If they want a playoff opportunity, these are the times they need to gut it out. This one comes down to a field goal and a desperation win from Sam Darnold.

Prediction: Panthers 23, Vikings 21

Los Angeles Chargers (4-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (4-1)

The Ravens have been playing excellent football. Fortunately for them, they have been able to really come together in the second half and get some exciting wins.

Unfortunately for them, it isn’t that easy against Justin Herbert’s Chargers. This one will be a reality check for Baltimore.

Prediction: Chargers 45, Ravens 17

Los Angeles Rams (4-1) @ New York Giants (1-4)

The heavily injured New York Giants are simply no match for a top tier team like this year’s Rams. While a lot of losses from the Giants involve a lot of late game devastation, fans will get to beat the traffic this week.

Prediction: Rams 35, Giants 0

Houston Texans (1-4) @ Indianapolis Colts (1-4)

Both teams are 1-4, but the Colts are a far better 1-4 team. In what will be a slow divisional matchup that might actually mean something, the Colts take it.

Prediction: Colts 20, Texans 13

Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) @ Washington Football Team (2-3)

This game is all up to Patrick Mahomes. This should be an easy, much needed win for Kansas City.

The Chiefs are a far better team on paper, and if they want any respect, they absolutely need to take this one.

Prediction: Chiefs 30, Football Team 17

Green Bay Packers (4-1) @ Chicago Bears (3-2)

Finally, we get to see a competitive rivalry between these two teams. Neither team has particularly impressed yet as of yet. For gamblers, take the under, and as for the outcome, Chicago takes this one in a gritty home matchup.

Prediction: Bears 17, Packers 14

Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) @ Detroit Lions (0-5)

No one can talk bad about what the Bengals are doing this season. They have put together a competent and fun-to-watch football team.

Nevertheless, this has to be the week for the Lions. This team has heart, and no one wants a win more than they do. Detriot takes advantage of home field against Cincinnati.

Prediction: Lions 20, Bengals 17

Arizona Cardinals (5-0) @ Cleveland Browns (3-2)

The Cleveland Browns start out shaky but eventually come together to rally a win against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals. Defense tells the story in this one.

Prediction: Browns 28, Cardinals 17

Dallas Cowboys (4-1) @ New England Patriots (2-3)

Bill Belichick loves these games. Against the odds at home versus what is a great football team, but very beatable. He will look to expose what he thinks is an overrated defense and get his rookie QB to a .500 record.

Prediction: Patriots 30, Cowboys 24

Las Vegas Raiders (3-2) @ Denver Broncos (3-2)

Denver needs wins like these to establish themselves as a legit playoff contender. Las Vegas took a tough blow losing such an important piece to their team in head coach Jon Gruden, and the Raiders are just bound to fall apart as a result.

Prediction: Broncos 30, Raiders 14

Seattle Seahawks (2-3) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (2-3)

This will be an excellent football game played by two well-coached teams who desperately need this win. In the end, defense and home field advantage tell the story. Steelers take it and go in route to turn the season around.

Prediction: Steelers 17, Seahawks 14

Buffalo Bills (4-1) @ Tennessee Titans (3-2)

A Bills upset this week wouldn’t be out of the question, but not against the Titans at this point in time.
They are simply too good to drop a game like this, making the Texans/Colts matchup a little more interesting.

Prediction: Bills 35, Titans 17
