NFL Top 10: Week 10

Story posted November 9, 2021 in CommRadio, Sports by Darian Capobianco

Heading past the midpoint of the NFL season, playoff implications loom with each game going forward.

In a week with plenty of upsets, let’s take a look at how the top-10 teams have been shaken up.

1. Arizona Cardinals (8-1)

The Cardinals came into their game without Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins and ended up losing Chase Edmonds during the game as well.

Despite being without their starting quarterback, running back and wide receiver, Arizona found a way to win.

Behind a huge game from backup running back James Connor, the Cardinals remain the lone team with only one loss on the season.

Now that is the epitome of the “next man up” mentality.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-2)

The Buccaneers had a bye week, following a loss to the New Orleans Saints last week.

The bye week offered time for tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Antonio Brown to rest and heal. Both players have been out for the past couple of weeks due to injuries.

3. Tennessee Titans (7-2)

No Derrick Henry? No problem. Even without the league’s leading rusher, the Titans found a way to succeed.

Backed by a strong performance from the defense, the Titans got themselves a win in Los Angeles in upset fashion.

4. Green Bay Packers (7-2)

The Packers got Davante Adams back after previously being placed on the Covid-19 list but lost quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the same reason.

Backup quarterback Jordan Love lead Green Bay instead. In his first career start, Love and the offense scored only seven points in a loss on the road against Kansas City.

Aaron Rodgers is the key to victory for the Packers.

5. Los Angeles Rams (7-2)

The Rams’ electric offense was held to only one touchdown and three field goals in a loss at home to the Titans.

Mistakes piled up as Matthew Stafford got sacked five times and threw two interceptions, with one ending in a pick-six.

6. Baltimore Ravens (6-2)

Fresh off of a bye week, the Ravens had a scare from the Minnesota Vikings.

In an overtime thriller led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Ravens proved their resilience, as kicker Justin Tucker hit the game-winning field goal.

7. Dallas Cowboys (6-2)

Dak Prescott returned from his calf injury, but it was all for naught.

The Denver Broncos controlled the game from start to finish, as the Cowboys’ six-game win streak was snapped in their first home loss of the season.

8. Los Angeles Chargers (5-3)

Justin Herbert and the Chargers won a nail-biter in Philadelphia.

On a game-winning field goal in the final seconds, the Chargers headed back to Los Angeles with a win and the top spot in the AFC West.

9. Cleveland Browns (5-4)

In their first game without Odell Beckham Jr. the Browns won in blowout fashion against a divisional rival.

Cleveland’s offense seemed to not miss a step without Beckham, and the Browns are on a roll. If they can keep their momentum, the Browns are in the hunt for a shot at the postseason.

10. Buffalo Bills (5-3)

In what might be the weirdest game of the season, the Bills’ high-powered offense, led by quarterback Josh Allen, was held to a measly six points.

Jaguars’ defensive end Josh Allen dominated the game with a sack, fumble recovery and an interception.

Josh Allen on Josh Allen crime.
