NFL Top 10: Week 8

Story posted October 29, 2022 in CommRadio, Sports by Gia Sabatino

With some of the NFL’s best teams on a bye this week, it gave other teams a chance to shine. Seven weeks of the NFL season is underway and we are really starting to see what each team is truly made of.

Let’s dive into the top 10:

1. Philadelphia Eagles (6-0)

Not only are the Eagles the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL but they are the team with the most weapons offensively and defensively. This team has proved to be overly dominant amongst all others and they aren’t going anywhere.

2. Buffalo Bills (5-1)

Unfortunately, the Bills had a bye this past week so we couldn’t see this team put on a show for us like they always do but there is no doubt they are extremely worthy of the number two spot. Each game this team looks more and more dangerous and they continue to show they are serious Super Bowl contenders.

3. Kansas City Chiefs (5-2)

Patrick Mahomes and his offense are completely on fire having scored 44 points against the 49ers on Sunday. Not only is this the most the Chiefs have scored in a game this season but they are also in the lead for the most points scored in total. Nevertheless, they look solid on both sides of the ball each and every weekend.

4. New York Giants (6-1)

It is rare enough that we see one NFC East team in the top five but seeing two of them is almost unbelievable. However, the Giants are a force to be reckoned with.

After defeating solid quarterback after solid quarterback, there is no doubt Daniel Jones has what it takes to lead this Giants team to many more victories. Having arguably the NFL’s most elite player, Saquon Barkley, by his side doesn’t hurt either.

5. Baltimore Ravens (4-3)

Seeing the Ravens in the top five might be a shock but they continue to show up each week.

Although maybe the outcome isn’t always what we would expect from a top five team, the battles they have lost are valid. Starting with their win over the Browns this past week, we should expect to see a long winning streak in the Ravens future as long as they learn how to finish.

6. Minnesota Vikings (5-1)

The Minnesota Vikings are another team with a bye this past week but still very deserving of a top spot. They are hands down the best team in their division and these next couple weeks should continue to keep them on top.

7. New York Jets (5-2)

The Jets will proceed to move up on this list if they are able to remain consistent. However, their star rookie running back, Breece Hall, suffered a season ending injury that will most definitely negatively affect this team tremendously.

8. Miami Dolphins (4-3)

With Tua Tagovailoa back in action this Dolphins team looks to pick up right where they left off.  We haven’t heard much of them the past few weeks but as long as this team stays healthy we can only predict wins from them moving forward.

9. Dallas Cowboys (5-2)

The NFC East is highly competitive this year and it is safe to say the Cowboys are putting up a fight in their division. With the return of Dak Prescott and with a fully stacked defense, the Cowboys have a good chance of making noise as the season progresses.

10. Seattle Seahawks (4-3)

Geno Smith is no joke and after a dominant win over the Chargers this Sunday the Seahawks earned the 10 spot. Their upcoming game against the Giants though should show us what they are truly capable of.
