Penn State in the NFL: Week 10

Week 10 of the NFL season was one full of crazy blowouts, surprising upsets and even a tie? In the midst of all the madness, former Nittany Lions continued to show out for their teams, so let’s take a look at how they fared in their matchups.

Ravens (10) at Dolphins (22)
Odafe Oweh continued his impressive rookie season with four combined tackles and a sack for the Ravens.

Mike Gesicki led the Dolphins in targets with seven but was unable to haul any in, resulting in zeroes across the stat sheet.

Bills (45) at Jets (17)
In one of the biggest blowouts of the week, Ryan Bates got his second start of the season at center for the Buffalo Bills. He allowed zero sacks and zero pressures.

Buccaneers (19) at Washington (29)
Safety Troy Apke logged no snaps on the defensive side of the ball for Washington but saw 80% of the special teams’ snaps.

Defensive end Shaka Toney registered 19% of the defensive snaps and 28% of the special teams snaps for Washington, the most action he’s seen in his rookie season so far.

Donovan Smith, the blindside blocker for Tom Brady, allowed zero sacks once again.

Chris Godwin hauled in seven of his eight targets for 57 receiving yards.

Falcons (3) at Cowboys (43)
Micah Parsons continued to solidify his Defensive Rookie of the Year campaign, recording six tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.

Connor McGovern stepped into the Dallas offensive line for 35% of the offensive snaps, his second-highest percentage of the season.

Saints (21) at Titans (23)
Blake Gillikin punted five times for the Saints for a total of 173 net yards and a long of 43 on the day.

Juwan Johnson had two receptions for 36 yards.

Sam Ficken remains on IR for the Titans.

Jaguars (17) at Colts (23)
Will Fries was inactive once again for the Colts on Sunday.

Robert Windsor remains on IR for Indianapolis.

Lions (16) at Steelers (16)
Linebacker Marcus Allen recorded one tackle for the Steelers in Sunday’s tie.

Lions fullback Jason Cabinda had one rush for two yards.

Cornerback Amani Oruwariye recorded seven combined tackles, two passes defended and recovered a fumble committed by Pat Freiermuth, his former teammate at Penn State.

Vikings (27) at Chargers (20)
Dan Chisena recorded one tackle on special teams for the Vikings.

Panthers (34) at Cardinals (10)
Yetur Gross-Matos and DaQuan Jones finished this blowout victory with two tackles each.

Eagles (30) at Broncos (13)
No former Nittany Lions were active for this game as K.J. Hamler, Miles Sanders and Daesean Hamilton remain on IR.

Seahawks (0) at Packers (17)
Adrian Amos racked up four combined tackles and an interception for Green Bay.

John Reid saw the field for Seattle after not playing last week. He recorded one tackle on the day.

Chiefs (41) at Raiders (14)
Carl Nassib played 26% of the defensive snaps but recorded no stats in the box score on Sunday night.

Tight end Nick Bowers remains on IR.

Rams (10) at 49ers (31)
Safety Nick Scott had two combined tackles for the Rams in Monday night’s loss.

Robbie Gould was a perfect 4/4 on extra points and hit a 50-yard field goal in his only attempt of the night.

Kevin Givens finished the night with one tackle.

Bye Weeks
Saquon Barkley, Cam Brown, Austin Johnson, Allen Robinson and Jesse James were all on bye weeks.
