Penn State in the NFL: Week 13

Week 13 in the National Football League is in the books and former Nittany Lions surely made an impact for their respective teams. On Thanksgiving Day, Oakland Raiders quarterback Matt McGloin led his team into Dallas. McGloin completed 18- of-30 passes for 255 yards with an interception in Thursday’s 31-24 defeat to the Cowboys. Raiders center Stefen Wisniewski started in the game. Raiders defensive end Jack Crawford recorded one tackle for his team in the loss.

In other Thanksgiving games, Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless had one reception for seven yards in the Green Bay’s 40-10 loss to the Detroit Lions.

On Monday Night Football, Seattle fullback Michael Robinson had one reception for 21 yards in the Seahawks 34-7 win over the Saints.

Francisco 49ers linebacker Navorrro Bowman made his presence known in the 49ers 23-13 win over the St. Louis Rams. Bowman registered 11 tackles on the day.

On Sunday, Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny had another impressive performance. Posluszny collected 11 combined tackles in the 32-28 win on the road versus the Cleveland Browns. Fellow Jags linebacker Nate Stupar also contributed, adding a tackle. 

It was an up and down game in Minnesota for Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould, who connected on 2 of 4 field goals including a 30 yard and 40 yard field goals. Gould went 2 for 2 on extra points in the Bears overtime 23-20 loss to the Vikings.

Kansas City defensive end Tamba Hali, returned to the field from an ankle injury and collected 2 tackles in Sunday’s 35-28 loss to the Denver Broncos.

On Sunday Night, Washington Redskins linebacker Josh Hull recorded one tackle in the Redskins 24-17 loss to the rival New York Giants.  

In East Rutherford, Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake had four total tackles. Dolphins defensive end Jared Odrick had one tackle in the 23-3 victory over the Jets.

In San Diego, Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still was activated and played in the 17-10 victory over the Chargers. Still was activated despite an elbow injury. Chargers center Johnnie Troutman started for his team.

List of Penn State players who were either inactive, saw limited on field action, did not play; Carolina Panthers linebacker Dan Connor, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Gerald Hodges, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Michael Mauti, Washington Redskins running back Evan Royster, San Diego Chargers center Rich Ohrnberger, Carolina Panthers fullback Micheal Zordich, Seattle Seahawks defenive tackle Jordan Hill, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee, Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Levi Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Derek Moye.
