UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa - Students are transitioning back into college life following last week’s spring break festivities. The week-long break to mark the middle of the semester gave students the opportunity to relax, catch-up and take a break from State College.

A variety of destinations across the globe attracted Penn State students. From the Carribean to Barcelona, no two experiences were the same.

“We had the best time, filled with beach parties, pool parties, and fun nightclubs,” study abroad student Vanessa Bourrihlon said, who took the quintessential spring break trip to Cancun adding to her authentic American college experience.

Some students spent the week unwinding within national borders.

“It was really cool because we got to tour the campus, eat lots of meat and go crazy at all the bar,” junior Rachel Miloscia said, who traveled to the University of Alabama.

Others took the opportunity to keep up with their studies.

“Our focus for the week was to understand South African history and understand it’s media systems,” senior Sophia Nitsolas said, after a trip to South Africa as a part of an embedded communications course.

Regardless of the destination or purpose, the week provided a much-needed break after February’s THON, State Paddy’s and Astroworld festivities.
