“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” - Episode 6 Review

We are finally two-thirds of the way through Season 1 of “She Hulk: Attorney at Law,” and it can only get more interesting and nail-biting from here.

The sixth episode of this series features Jennifer Walters, better known by her alias, “She-Hulk,” attending a friend’s wedding.

The episode kicks off with Jen showing up to the pre-wedding ceremonies as her She-Hulk form, before being told she is taking attention away from the bride. She is told to come to the actual wedding as “Just Jen,” which, funny enough, is the title of this episode.

While Jen gets settled in at the wedding, Nikki is back at the law firm with Jen’s lawyer, Mallory, from the previous episode. They take on client Craig Hollis, who goes by the name of “Mr. Immortal.” Hollis is facing his own personal dilemma.

Hollis looks to receive assistance on his divorce case, but in a rather unprecedented way. To avoid dealing with the long drawn-out conversation of “no longer wanting to be married,” he takes an approach where he fakes his own death to avoid the confrontation.

To create some tension back at the wedding, Titania makes an appearance of her own. She claims to be dating a friend of the groom, explaining the reasoning for her being invited to the big day.

Jen, however, is skeptical about Titania’s sudden appearance. Fortunately, a good looking man named Josh sits next to her and strikes up some conversation outside.

Meanwhile, Mr. Hollis’s case is not going much in his favor, as he is being confronted by a number of his past wives in the case. Nikki steps up and helps to get Mr. Hollis the best possible outcome with the reparations he owes these women.

Back at the wedding, Jen is being manipulated for her generosity to help out as much as possible, leading to her letting loose and taking advantage of the wedding’s “cash bar.”

Outside, while Jen is throwing up, she is confronted by Titania who looks to battle it out against She-Hulk. Jen however, has been told not to transform into She-Hulk. What she doesn’t realize until her friend confronts her, is her friend used the bar just as much as Jen did.

The episode concludes with Nikki and Mallory looking at websites dedicated to taking down She-Hulk in any capacity possible. One is even titled, “How Do We Kill She-Hulk.” The rest of the site is filled with memes and death threats.

We get a quick glance of some potential threats in a lab conducting research on none other than Jennifer Walters.

This episode was far better than the last one, and although it strayed away from any of the usual themes of fighting and solving crime, the characters in this episode do a great job of keeping viewers tuned in.

There does not seem like much storyline can come from this episode, with an exception to the last few seconds where we only get a sneak peak of what we may see next.

The introduction of a new romantic interest gives us hope for Jen, showing she may have found someone who accepts her for her human self, not just her She-Hulk self.

Overall, this episode was very enjoyable and entertaining. It takes a good break from the drama and allows for fans to sit back and enjoy a rather stress free episode. If you are looking for some quick entertainment, be sure to give this episode a watch.
