She-Hulk - Episode 8 Review

Oh, just where do we begin unpacking this episode.

From the drama in the courtroom to the bedroom and all the fights in between, this episode had it all as the season nears an end.

We open up by being introduced to a new superhero in Leap-Frog who doesn’t actually have any superpowers that we see on screen but he does have a suit made by Luke Jacobson.

Earlier in the series, Jacobson had made all of Jen Walters’ clothes for when she turns into She-Hulk and more importantly for this episode, is in the process of making her a dress for an upcoming awards gala.

When Leap-Frog’s suit malfunctions he turns to Walters for a lawsuit against Jacobson and since the frog-themed superhero has a father who is an important client, Walters is forced to take the case.

Walters is forced to break the news to Jacobson who was working on the dress and quickly rips it when hearing the news.

The show then moves to the court where the major surprise of the episode emerges.

Matt Murdock also known as Daredevil enters the fold to represent Jacobson and probably hands the first “L” to Walters that we see in court during the season and he does so quite easily.

Murdock offers Walters a peace offering at the bar and the two start to hit it off before each of their respective clients call and break up the conversation.

Leap-Frog tells Walters that he’s being chased while in his car and upon her arrival she notices Daredevil, who she doesn’t yet know is Murdock, trying to stop Leap-Frog.

The two then fight for a bit before Daredevil reveals himself and tells She-Hulk that Leap-Frog kidnapped Jacobson.

While Jacobson is forced to make new suits for Leap-Frog against his will, we see the two heroes banter about how to break into the Lilypad of Leap-Frog and each of their styles end up working rather easily.

Jacobson is saved while Leap-Frog is arrested and most importantly for Walters, Jacobson agrees to make her a new dress for the gala.

Murdock and Walters pick back up where they left off flirtation wise and it ends with the two having an adult sleepover despite the fact that the former has to go back to New York the next day.

The episode doesn’t end there however as She-Hulk goes to the gala and there is a video playing as she is accepting an award which tries to portray her as a fraud but that causes her to unleash her rage leading to her potential arrest.

This episode really had it all as one of the better ones if not the best of the series.

It’s hard to find a better way to set up a finale than this with the introduction of Murdock being the icing on the cake.

Wonder if that gala had cake.

Cake is pretty good.
