As Super Bowl 55 approaches, many bettors have their sights set on aspects of the game that may make them some money.

The big game provides many opportunities to gain a profit. For all those involved with the sportsbooks, these prop bets will provide help on what to place your money on.

National Anthem: Over 2 Minutes

The National Anthem is a constant before kickoff. The artists take their time driving passion into the song that puts pride into the hearts of Americans across the nation.

According to OddsShark.com, the average time the National Anthem took to sing at the Super Bowl was one minute and fifty-five seconds. That is usually with one singer, but this year has a duet with Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan having the honor to sing at the Super Bowl.

Duets take time with pauses in between singers, which will cause the song to go well over two minutes. With this in mind, the over for two minutes for the National Anthem looks very promising.

Coin Toss: Tails

In three Super Bowl appearances, the Chiefs are 0-3 with the luck of the coin. In Tampa Bay’s lone appearance in the big game, it won the toss. The AFC is the road team this season for the Super Bowl, meaning Kansas City gets to call the flip.

In the last decade, tails has been 6-4 to determine possession to start the game. Tails has been overwhelmingly victorious in the last seven Super Bowls however going 6-1. Recent history repeats itself on Sunday as the coin will land on tails.

Travis Kelce: Over 98.5  Receiving Yards

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has had a season to remember for the position. This year, Kelce broke the single season record for reception yards by a tight end, formerly held by San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle in 2018.

So far in the postseason, Kelce has averaged 113.5 yards per game. As quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ top target, expect the ball to come his way in big situations.

The secondary will be more focused on wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who managed to put up 7 catches for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns in the first quarter of their meeting in Week 12. Their shifted focus will allow Kelce to find holes in the middle of the field, which will turn into instant yards after catch.

Passing Touchdowns: Over 6 Touchdowns

Both of these squads can score fast and in bunches. Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady combined for 78 touchdown passes during the regular season.

Tampa Bay and Kansas City have an abundance of weapons on the offensive side of the ball. These teams score more predominantly through the air compared to the ground game. Expect Brady and Mahomes to lay it all on the line in the passing game to help guide their respected franchises to a Lombardi trophy.

Gatorade Color: Yellow

The lemon-lime flavored drink will rain down on the victorious head coach after Sunday’s game. The last time yellow Gatorade was dumped on a head coach was three years ago on Doug Peterson after Philadelphia’s first Super Bowl win.

Andy Reid received an orange-colored bath last year. The last time the same color was dumped on the winning coach in back-to-back seasons was Super Bowl 44 and 45.

Super Bowl MVP: Patrick Mahomes

The legacy of Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes has been short, but the quality of the games is unforgettable. This game adds more drama to the ever-growing saga between these two players.

Mahomes had the upper hand on Brady in Week 12, where he threw for 3 touchdowns and 462 yards.

The league has learned that the Kansas City offense has been able to change the game at the flip of a switch, which will all be in part of Mahomes performance. Mahomes will take down Brady and win his second consecutive Super Bowl MVP, along with keeping the Lombardi Trophy in the Red Kingdom.
