UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Kid LAROI is playing at The Bryce Jordan Center on Monday, March 27 but before the performance he stopped by the HUB-Robeson Center for a meet and greet with fans.

On the sidewalk in front of the HUB lawn was a large crowd of fans waiting to see The Kid LAROI. He announced on his Instagram that he would be there at 1 p.m. on the day of his concert, and the star pulled through.

“[I’m] very, very excited for the show tonight,” The Kid LAROI said from on top of a table. “Thank you guys for showing up.”

The crowd responded with cheers and praise before The Kid LAROI tossed his merch into the crowd, including hats.

Spencer Axelrod drove to Penn State all the way from New York for the meet and greet. He attends Farmingdale State College in Long Island, but he met up with his Penn State friend, Joseph Accovelli.

Axelrod called himself an “avid fan” and listener. When The Kid LAROI announced the meet and greet via Instagram, Axelrod knew he had to come down early. The New Yorker even caught a hat.

had to hop a fence to get close to him, and then within three people — two people in front of me and [the hat] landed in my hands,” Axelrod said.

The black hat had “The Kid” written over the bill.

Axelrod said he would “hold on for dear life for it.”

The concert isn’t just for out-of-towners, but also for sisterly bonding. Penn State senior Morgan Erdman attended the meet and greet and said she is excited to attend the concert with her younger sister.

“Me, a senior, and her being a freshman, it’s kind of a way of bonding and to enjoy some music on a Monday evening,” Erdman said.

Erdman caught a hat at the event, which she attributed to her spot in the crowd.

Erdman said The Kid LAROI is “so sweet” for having the meet and greet. It showed fans how much The Kid LAROI “cares about his fans.”
