The decision came quickly after Mupoyi took his official visit to Happy Valley just this past weekend. He chose Penn State over the likes of Michigan, Auburn, Maryland, Utah amongst others.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound defensive lineman is regarded as a top-five recruit in his state, and the 45th-best edge rusher in his class overall according to 247Sports.

Mupoyi is the 20th commit to officially become a member of the blue and white during this recruiting cycle, and joins Tyriq Branding and Jameial Lyons as the third defensive lineman in the ’23 class.

His high school teammate at St. Thomas More, Zion Tracy, committed to the Nittany Lions back in September.

Mupoyi’s commitment places Penn State at No. 13 in the 247Sports’ national rankings.

Before Mupoyi suits up, Penn State fans can get a sneak peak at their newest commit via his Hudl account.
