Michael Fliegelman
Senior / Broadcast Journalism
Michael Fliegelman is the Student General Manager and Web Director of ComRadio and has been a dedicated member of the station since his first week at Penn State. He hosts two shows, The ComRadio Morning Show and Sports 101, giving him experience in two entirely different kinds of talk shows. While Fliegelman likes hosting shows, he prefers doing play-by-play, especially football and baseball. He always dreamed of becoming a broadcaster for either the New York Mets or Jets but after spending a summer working in minor league baseball broadcasting games for the Hudson Valley Renegades, he now would prefer to work in baseball after graduating from Penn State in 2013. Fliegelman interned at Sports Radio 66 WFAN in New York in the summer of 2012 and broadcasts State College Area High School Football for C-Net in State College. Born in Brooklyn, NY and currently living in Manalapan, NJ, Fliegelman is a die-hard fan of the Mets, Jets and Knicks while also rooting for the Islanders and Florida Gators, though his collegiate allegiance has shifted towards Penn State. He admits rooting for the Gators instead of the Nittany Lions in the 2011 Outback Bowl was a mistake and would appreciate it if his fellow Penn Staters would let that go.
