Penn State added to its already impressive recruiting class late Sunday evening.

Three-star wide receiver Yazeed Haynes announced his commitment to become the latest Nittany Lion via Twitter.

Haynes is the No. 13 player to join James Franklin’s 2023 class, and he marks the second receiver along with Ejani Shakir, who committed back in April.

After decommitting from Rutgers a few weeks prior, the Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, native is excited to stay home and join the blue and white.

"I really wanted to see how the culture was at Penn State," Haynes said in an interview with 247 Sports. "And from the little bit of time that I was there, I could already see how family-oriented they were and how close everybody is there."

Haynes measures 6′-1″ and 170 pounds while being the 17th-best player in Pennsylvania and the No. 80 wide receiver in the country, according to 247sports.

He received an offer after attending Penn State’s camp on June 4 after reportedly running a 4.39 40-yard dash catching the eyes of the coaching staff.

The speedster offers the Nittany Lions a lot of flexibility as he can play both sides of the ball and is comfortable doing so.

"They are giving me the option to play either side of the ball," Haynes said in the same interview with 247 Sports. "During the visit, I met with both position coaches, and they taught me about their position. Both of them are cool with me playing either side of the ball."

Haynes marks the fifth player to stay in-state and join Franklin’s program, and with his addition, Penn State jumps up to the third-best class in the nation, according to 247 Sports.
