A Healing Touch

After being involved in a car accident in 2004, Beth Whitman needed to reevaluate her medical treatment. This wasn’t Beth’s first car accident, but it was the first one that involved her daughter. During the accident she felt “frozen” and could not move to reach her daughter. Luckily, her daughter was unharmed, but Beth struggled with emotional and physical problems. She tried traditional medical practices but felt her condition wasn’t improving. With nothing left to lose, she tried a holistic wellness method called Reiki.

In 2010 Beth received her Karuna Reiki Master Teacher certification and three years later she opened her own holistic wellness center in Bellefonte, Pa. Inspired Holistic Wellness, her business, allows other holistic practitioners to teach classes privately or in groups and host workshops. In addition to facilitating and participating in Reiki, she also uses yoga and hypnosis to help heal her pain.

Now, Beth resides in Bellefonte with her 13-year-old daughter and her husband. She is a member of the Bellefonte Intervalley Chamber of Commerce, National Guild of Hypnotists and International Center for Reiki Training.
