Lawrence Boisvert is a Penn State third-year student double majoring in kinesiology and journalism. He is 21 and originally from West Hartford, Connecticut. Before coming to University Park, he spent two years at Penn State Altoona. As a child, he was diagnosed with ADHD and has had to take medication ever since in order for him to succeed in school. Prior to being put on medication as a child, Boisvert could not focus in school and would constantly receive bad grades and be disciplined for "behavioral problems." However, after taking medication, he was able to concentrate better and his grades immediately began to improve. Although Boisvert still takes this medication today, he does not rely on it nearly as much for daily functions as he did when he was younger.
