Building Balance: A story of architecture and dance

Story posted March 17, 2014 in News by Jill Caldwell

Meghan Tierney is in her fourth year of Penn State's architecture program.  Since she was a little girl, Meghan has wanted to become an architect and has been dancing equally as long.  Here at PSU, Meghan knew she would be given many opportunities for architecture with it being such a great program.  She would have never guessed that she would have the ability to combine her two passions.

Meghan got the chance to work with Diavolo which is a dance company who's slogan is "architecture in motion." Getting to work with Diavolo was a learning experience and a lot of fun for her.

Meghan hopes that her last two semesters in Happy Valley are filled with dance and architecture.  With general credits out of the way, she believes that she will have the chance to dance a lot more and she is looking forward to it very much.
