Campus pastor embraces Bible and karate

Duane Moore is a full-time pastor who ministers to students at Penn State University. On Wednesday nights he helps teach a karate class at Christ Community Church to let young men know it is okay to love God and still be manly.

He has been a full-time paster for three years and he's been a black belt in karate since he was 9. He co-teaches the Christ Community Church karate class with pastor Dave Hatfield, who leads the congregation's campus ministry.

Moore also teaches weekly personal Bible studies with students to encourage them in their faith. He also participates in weekly evangelism sessions where he spreads the gospel through sharing prophetic messages of encouragement to any student who is interested.

Moore is originally from New York He is married to Crystal Moore. They are expecting a son in June.
