Ray McDowell
Junior / Broadcast Journalism
Ray McDowell is a resident of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey and an aspiring radio and television play-by-play announcer. Ray currently co-hosts ComRadio’s Fantasy Focus. He is a broadcast Journalism major with a minor in Kinesiology. He strives to one day become the play-by-play broadcaster for either the New York Mets or the New York Jets.
Taylor Shelly
Senior / Broadcast Journalism
Taylor is a Senior Broadcast Journalism major with a minor in Business. She is from New Jersey and is excited about her future career in the industry. Currently, she is a reporter and sports anchor for the Centre County Report and a member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. Most recently, Taylor gained experience in many areas of production as an intern for TheBlaze Television Network in NYC including: running live camera, producing show content, editing, building show graphics, running the teleprompter, assisting with field shoots, booking talent and marketing show ideas. She is also a former B94.5 Morning Zoo co-host and producer, ESPN1450 production intern and 92.3NOW Morning Show intern. Taylor is truly passionate about her work and loves all aspects of broadcasting!
Alexandra Darwick
Senior / Broadcast Journalism
Ally is a Senior Broadcast Journalism major with minors in Sociology and International Studies. She is from New Jersey and is excited for her future career in production. Currently, she is a reporter, producer and anchor for the Centre County Report. Most recently, she gained experience as a producer for the Madison Square Garden Network in NYC. She is also a former production associate for Penn State Baseball, and the State College Spikes.
Garret Shawley
Senior / Telecommucations
Telecommunications student at Penn State University. Technical Director and Director for the Centre County Report. Also creates last minute and special graphics for the weekly newscasts.
