Drag Bingo

STATE COLLEGE - Several times a semester, the Centre LGBTQA Support Network Board hosts an event called Drag Bingo. on friday the 21st, the board hosted their tenth bingo event, bringing in a crowd of both young and old community members. Drag Bingo took place in Webster’s Bookstore Cafe from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for students and $20 for adults, with proceeds benefiting the Centre LGBTQA Support Center.

Organizer of the event, Tamar London, says Drag Bingo is a great opportunity for people of all ages to come together in a safe, welcoming environment.

“I just thought it was beautiful that these LGBT kids could see that they are accepted, they are wanted, they are treasured, and celebrated, and in just a fun, relaxed environment,” said London.

The performers also called the numbers. Freshman Lucas Rizzo attended the event for his first time and says he’ll definitely be back.
“It just shows how inclusive, not just the campus, but like the whole town and the area is. How open we are to everyone. It’s great,” said Rizzo.
