Hackathon PSU is a 36-hour coding event where entrepreneurial students get to focus an entire weekend to working on an application. Eli Kariv, a senior at Penn State organized the event and wanted the focus to be on learning, all though their was a grand prize of $2,500.

The competition was not only limited to Penn State students. About half of the competitors traveled from different schools to participate in the event. There were a ton of different sponsors and food and drinks were supplied at all times so the students could focus on their coding.
