Fantasy Football Breakdown: Week 11
Host Logan Bourandas alongside Aidan Torok, Matt Rudisill and Sam Kirk look into another week of fantasy football. We look at best starts, sits and waiver wire pickups for Week 11 of NFL action.
Players To Start This Week:
Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals
Fresh off a historic win against the Buffalo Bills in his last game, Murray is set for another matchup against the division rival Seahawks.
Murray put together his second best start of the season last time these teams met, as he threw for 360 yards and three touchdowns in an overtime win. Add in a historically bad Seattle defense and Murray could have the best fantasy performance of all quarterbacks this week.
J.D. McKissic, RB, Washington Football Team
Although he only had eight carries last week, McKissic was able to find great chemistry with quarterback Alex Smith in the passing game recording seven catches.
As a running back, McKissic has had sixteen catches in the last two games and his receiving stats have seen a huge improvement with Smith under center.
Players To Sit This Week:
James Robinson, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Robinson has been great as a rookie so far on a struggling Jaguars offense, but this week will be his toughest test.
The undefeated Steelers have had one of the top defenses in the NFL thus far just outside the top five in yards allowed. There is also a huge chance that the Jaguars find themselves losing early, so expect a pass heavy offense for Jacksonville this week.
Drew Lock, QB, Denver Broncos
Not only is Lock coming off an awful four interception game against the division rival Raiders, but Lock and the Broncos face a red hot Miami defense this week. The Dolphin defense has scored over ten points in three of the last five games with six interceptions and three touchdowns.
Waiver Wire Pickup:
Kalen Ballage, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Over the past two weeks, Ballage has seen more and more touches in the Chargers offense getting 17 two weeks ago and 23 last week. It seems that Ballage is the new starting running back until Austin Ekeler returns from injury.
This is also the perfect week to pick up and start Ballage as he’s going against his former team, the winless New York Jets who also happen to have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. The Jets cut Ballage after Week 4 of the season this year.
Duke Johnson, RB, Houston Texans
Fantasy owners didn’t get what they expected from Duke Johnson as he got his first start with David Johnson placed on IR. Although he only got around five points in fantasy leagues, his game against Cleveland was played in horrible weather so expect more involvement of Johnson in the receiving game which is what he has been known for his entire career.
