When Penn State School of Theater's Associate Director for Instruction Elisha Clark Halpin is not working for Penn State, she can be found mentoring and coaching women via movement work in her meditation class. Clark Halpin, originally a native of Nashville, Tenn., began dancing at the age of 3. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis and her master's from Ohio State, both in dance-related fields. When she was younger, Clark Halpin focused predominately on ballet, but that all changed once she attended university. Since then, she switched her focus to modern dance. Additionally, she has toured professionally and eventually opened up her own dance company called Edge Dance Company which operated out of both State College and New York City.
