Jalen Penrose is a member of the men’s volleyball team here at Penn State. For someone who is as tall as Jalen you wouldn’t think he was a volleyball player. Growing up he played basketball and then later tried volleyball after his mother suggested it to him. Ever since then his love for the game of volleyball grew. He came to Penn State with a scholarship to play volleyball. He expressed how volleyball opened up more opportunities for him than basketball. He wants to continue to play volleyball after he graduates from Penn State. He plans to continue to play with the US volleyball team.
