It takes a certain type of person to be teacher. It takes an even more specific type of person to be a teacher of young kids every day of the week. You have to be patient, willing and always wanting to help and play with them at any minute.

Ann Hirsch, the director of Landmark Preschool in Ridgefield, CT, loves her job. She enjoys the feeling of pride that she gets when she can help a child graduate preschool having established the basics for their entire school career.

Hirsch spends her day moving in and out of each classroom to interact with preschoolers ages 2 to 5 years old. She reads to them, plays games, and dances. Every day is different and she will never leave work at the end of the day without a smile.
