Bellefonte Area High School students had the opportunity to earn community service hours by working in polling places on election day. Alicia Allen, a senior at Bellefonte Area High School, worked over 12 hours on election day at the Friends Meetinghouse on Prospect Avenue in State College.

Allen described her day as "incredibly boring," and reported that only 24 people had voted from the precinct she was assigned to check voters in at. She said the majority of voters were older, and hardly any college students had turned out to vote.
