Music for a lifetime

Story posted October 21, 2013 in News by Vincent Corso

John McDermott is the second youngest member of The Second Winds, a local jazz band made up of people all over the age of 60.  McDermott, 63, is recently retired and enjoys playing with the over three generations of people in the band, because he is learning new music and as remembering how to play sheet music.  He played piano as a child, and music has been in and out of his life since.
