NFL Game of the Week: Rams vs. Cardinals

Story posted October 2, 2021 in CommRadio, Sports by Charlie Murray

The Los Angeles Rams (3-0) will be rolling out the red carpet to host the Arizona Cardinals (3-0) this Sunday at SoFi Stadium.

This battle of the unbeatens is sure to put on display the prolific passing attacks of both of these teams.

The Rams are confident coming into this game after beating the reigning Super B owl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 34-24 last week.

The Rams are proving themselves to be back in the conversation of teams that could potentially win the Super Bowl. Quarterback Matt Stafford has adjusted well to the new playing scheme in Los Angeles and is leading this team in a great direction.

The Cardinals, also unbeaten, are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now.

Although they haven't played any top teams like the Rams, the Cardinals new and improved offense has been a spectacle to watch.

The addition of Deandre Hopkins has opened up a lot more opportunities for this Cardinals team. Hopkins already has three touchdowns in his first three games and is only showing signs of more improvement.

The Cardinals’ defense has been one of the best in the NFL up to this point in the season. They are a top ten defense in almost every category.

The key to this game for both teams will be a matter of who can hold off the other team's passing game the best.

With receivers like Cooper Kupp, Deandre Hopkins and Christian Kirk all on the field, the deep ball will be a huge factor in this game.

The Cardinals must be careful on defense, however. They have been pretty weak against the run this year, averaging almost 140 yards rushing per game. Although the Rams have a great passing threat, their running game is no joke and could be the deciding factor in this game.
