Passion for singing

Kiena Williams, is a music education and voice major at Penn State. She has been singing for more than 10 years now. Her first time singing solo was in 4th grade where she played Dorothy in the Wiz.She continued to use her talent by attended Laguardia High School for Performing Art in New York City. In 2010, she auditioned to be a music education major. She is currently a member of Penn State's Essence of Joy where she has had the opportunity to travel to Spain in summer 2013 to sing at various shows.

Kiena says music is a very vital part of her everyday life and it always reminds her of where she wants to go in life. Singing helped build her confidence and self esteem. In the future she plans to be a music educator. She is pursuing her BA in voice.
