UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Just one day after its series against Maine was canceled due to positive COVID-19 results within the Black Bear program, Penn State will hit the ice quicker than expected.

The Nittany Lions announced they have added one game to their schedule as they will hit the road to face off against Army on New Year’s Day with puck drop set for 5:05 p.m.

This is just the third all-time meeting between the two programs with the blue and white winning both games.

The upcoming contest is the first meeting between Penn State and Army since opening night at Pegula Ice Arena on October 11, 2013, when the Nittany Lions secured the 4-1 victory over the Black Knights.
