Penn State cellist discusses passion for music

Emily Kondracki is a senior at Penn State, where she is studying music education. She began playing the cello in fourth grade, at the suggestion of her teacher, and hasn’t stopped since.

She’s the president of the Penn State Cello Club, but jokes with other members that it’s not too exclusive —- all someone has to do to join is to study the cello. Upon graduation, Kondracki hopes to teach the cello, but “keep her chops up” by joining a local symphony or orchestra.
