Penn State football safety Jaquan Brisker selected by Chicago Bears in NFL Draft

Another Nittany Lion is off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft, and this time it’s safety Jaquan Brisker, who was taken by the Chicago Bears in the second round with the 48th pick.

The fifth-year senior and former Lackawanna Community College product was a pivotal member of the secondary in all three of his seasons in Happy Valley.

He appeared in all 13 games in 2017 as a junior making 32 tackles, two interceptions and three pass breakups.

The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native then started in all nine games in his senior season, tallying 57 tackles and a team-high six pass breakups.

His performance earned him All-American first-team honors from Pro Football Focus.

In his last season in 2021, Brisker started all 12 games and he recorded 64 tackles, 5.5. tackles for loss, two interceptions, five pass breakups and a fumble recovery. 

Brisker will play a key piece in the Bears’ secondary.
