Penn State faced defending league champion Ciego de Ávila and one of the best pitchers on the island Wednesday. The game was the second of a four-game tour for Penn State in Cuba. The Nittany Lions lost 2-1 Monday to the nation’s most famous club, the Industriales, but that squad was largely made up of subs and young prospects.
On Wednesday Penn State faced the starters on a team that holds the best record in Cuba at 30-12. The Nittany Lions lost 2-0.
