Another coaching change may be on the horizon for Penn State football.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel, co-defensive coordinator Tim Banks is expected to leave Penn State to become Tennessee’s new defensive coordinator.

Banks has helped guide the Nittany Lions’ program since 2016. Before coming to Happy Valley, Banks worked as a defensive coordinator at Illinois, Cincinnati and Central Michigan.

Throughout his tenure with the blue and white, Banks worked alongside current Penn State defensive coordinator Brent Pry. Now, Banks will work under first-year head coach Josh Heupel on the Volunteers’ coaching staff.
