Run For (Homeless) Shelter

State College Mayor, Elizabeth Goreham, was one of the many runners participating in the Run For Shelter 5K race to raise money for Housing Transitions, Inc., a shelter program for the homeless in Centre County.

Each runner donated $20 to participate and had the chance to win a variety of prizes. Goreham says that this event represents the best of State College and came in good timing, right before the Thanksgiving holiday.
