Second Floor established in 2009 is Penn State’s student run Stand-up Comedy organization.

Second Floor’s Open Mic Nights take place in Carnegie Cinema every Thursday and it gives a chance for students to perform their material in front of their peers. Although it is a very fun experience students do take it seriously.

“I try to do an open mic every week”, said member Pat Feehan, “If you read what professional comedians do is they go to open mics every night a week but we only have it one night a week I try to make sure I do it every week.”

Second Floor Stand-Up is not just a group of guys telling ill-humored jokes.
Its founder, Brandon Scott Wolf, was 2011 National College Comedy Competition performed on Lopez Tonight and now is a contributing writer for Saturday Night Live.

Second Floor Stand-Up began performing on the second floor of an apartment building and haven’t looked back since as they perform in Carnegie Cinema regularly and more recently at the forum for a Tri Sigma Fundraiser.
