Nedji Jean-Claude, a student at Penn State, is known as the women behind the lens. She is in high demand, especially when it comes to graduation pictures.
Nedji has done a number of collaborations and projects with the film school and used many different outlets to tell stories through still images. Nedji was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 14. Nedji says she allowed her cancer to serve as a roadblock in her life until she found her niche.
Photography became Nedji’s sole form of self-expression and served as a distraction from all the negative attention surrounding her cancer. Today, Nedji stands strong and tells anyone that is scared to take a chance on their dream, to take the stride because we only have one life to live.
