Teacher extends musical tradition

Story posted March 10, 2013 in News by Jenna Busik

Kim Hunt is a music teacher from Point Pleasant, Pa. Hunt was taught by a teacher who once played for Albert Einstein, the same teacher was taught by a descendant of Beethoven.

Hunt realized her love for music when she was a teenager. She started playing for a piano in local festivals and plays. She realized she never wanted to be a professional but loved to work with kids. She got her teaching and masters degrees and went on to teach middle and high school chorus, band, and glee clubs. She later transitioned into private lessons from home when she had children.

She is currently taking lessons herself to learn the harp and guitar. She enjoys playing for the congregation at her church.
